Mark, Support Worker

Since 1998,Starter Packs Glasgow, based in Govan, has provided services to homeless families and single people taking up a permanent tenancy in the Greater Glasgow area.  

Founded with assistance from Scottish Churches Housing Action the organisation has seen demand for its service grow and grow.

By providing starter packs we are trying help those in need in the following ways:

• promoting tenancy sustainment by ensuring the provision of the basic items needed to set up home

• reducing the stress and financial burden of moving from homelessness to a new home

• promoting a community response to homelessness that is practical in its' approach
