Packs Glasgow, helping your Staff and pupils
to divert re-useable unwanted items from
landfill.
We'll do an initial presentation,
collection on an arranged day and
provide a report to let you know how
much collected and |
| how
many families you have helped. |

| The Rag and Bone
Man Comes back to Govan... |
 |
Govan’s
very own Steptoe and Son have taken to
the streets to collect unwanted items
for a worthy cause.
The National Theatre of Scotland,
through their Allotment project, teamed
up with the Starter Packs charity to
bring rag and bone men back to the
streets of Govan.
Lorraine Johnson and Donna Adams don
their ‘best’ old suits to rein in
Clydesdale horses Baron and Duke – on
loan from Pollok Park – before they
clip-clopped off, bringing the sights,
sounds – and smell! – of days gone by
back to the streets of Govan.
Setting off from Govan Cross, residents
were urged to donate unwanted household
goods, bedding or clothing.
Scrap items or junk, including
electrical goods, furniture, car parts
or old bikes were also welcome.
The horse-drawn cart is accompanied by a
van to collect larger items.
Collected items will be recycled by
Starter Packs Glasgow, who help
previously homeless people back into
accommodation, and to help the Allotment
arts team.
