Alleviating poverty, breaking the cycle of homelessness and supporting vulnerable people across Glasgow since 2000.
We are a Glasgow based charity (charity number SC029961), helping people who are moving from homelessness to tenancy by providing basic essentials for their new home.
Our Charity shops are The Magpie's Eye and The Magpie's Nest on Burleigh Street, Govan.
In 2025-26, we delivered 1764 starter packs of essential items to households across Glasgow. Supporting 2854 people (1995 adults and 859 children) settle into their new homes in our communities.
We couldn't do this without your support, so thank you for helping us to make a huge difference to the people starting over in the city.

WHAT GOES INTO A STARTER PACK?
DUVET, PILLOWS, COVERS, SHEETS AND PILLOWCASES. BLANKETS. KETTLE AND TOASTER. A MINIMUM OF 4-PLACE SETTINGS OF CROCKERY, CUTLERY, MUGS AND GLASSES. KITCHEN UTENSILS. POTS, PANS AND OVEN DISHES. TEA TOWELS AND CLOTHS. STORAGE CONTAINERS. BATH TOWELS, TOILETRIES AND CLEANING PRODUCTS.
